„Mehr \u00d6ffnung ist nur durch noch mehr \u00d6ffnung zu ersetzen“  – Wer von uns DeepSky  verr\u00fcckten Spechtlern hat die Bedeutung dieser Binsenweisheit nicht schon selbst erfahren. Mit jedem neuen Teleskop w\u00e4chst der Wunsch nach noch mehr \u00d6ffnung, nach noch mehr Licht aus dem All. So geht es auch mir: 2014 er\u00f6ffnete mir Palantir mit seinen 16 Zoll \u00d6ffnung eine ganz neue Welt am Himmel, Galaxien zeigen pl\u00f6tzlich Strukturen und tauchen an Orten auf, wo man bisher im Dunklen stocherte. Doch es w\u00e4chst der Wunsch nach mehr, so reifte \u00fcber die Jahre der Plan f\u00fcr das SGO Halfmeter Telescope – ganz im Sinne meiner bisherigen Aufr\u00fcstung: Von 8″ ( Gilgalad\/ PalantirPathfinder) auf 12″ (Valacirca), dann 16″ (Palantir). 20″ w\u00e4re die logische Vervollst\u00e4ndigung dieser Reihe. Aber das neue soll ja das \u00d6ffnungsfieber wieder f\u00fcr einige Zeit kurieren – also machen wir es gleich gescheit: Nicht 20″, nicht 22″, keine halben Sachen mehr!<\/p>\n

So wurde gestern mit der Bestellung des Rohlings eine neue \u00c4ra f\u00fcr Stefans Gartenobservatorium eingeleitet und gleichzeitig der Startschuss f\u00fcr Projekt DSI:Landsberg gegeben!<\/p>\n

Das Gesamtdesign wird nach dem Vorbild von Achim Strnads 24″ Draco entwickelt. Ziel dabei ist hohe Stabilit\u00e4t bei geringer Packgr\u00f6\u00dfe und guter Tragbarkeit der Einzelkomponenten. Ein \u00fcbertriebener Leichtbau ist nicht angedacht. Ich werde alle Schritte als Blog-Eintr\u00e4ge kommentieren. Diese werden unten im Tagebuch verlinkt. <\/p>\n
